I know that Avatar is slowly getting old on the internet but not seeing a topic about it on rin made me think I should make one, especially after I just managed to see the movie inside an IMAX yesterday! I have waited a shitload of time till I was able to reserve some tickets inside the center row, with center seats in the IMAX, due to the crazy geeks that were crashing the sites to reserve their tickets ASAP. I have been waiting to see this movie ever since I learned about it a few years ago and knowing James Cameron I had really high expectations from it. After it premiered I started to look all over the net for reviews from random people or critics. Soon I found out that almost everybody that had seen it in a 3d cinema but especially the ones that saw it in IMAX3d were mind blown and couldn't find their words. I must say I have seen a great deal of movies in my time and I have become very hard to impress, especially when it comes to movies that use 3d effects allot. I was sure this movie was going to be good because of James Cameron but I wasn't expecting it to be that impressive at an art level... Well I just wanted to say this movie blew my mindthink this was the most intensive experience I have ever lived since having sex for the first time I also have a more paranoid question. Has anybody else felt a huge heat in his neck arms and chest, almost unbearable heat in the first minute of the movie when the IMAX lights turn off and the movie starts with that that fly over jungle scene? I fucking felt an unexplainable heat more like what I imagined to be a radiation of some sort that seemed to come from the IMAX screen and was going through my freaking clothes and entering my skin almost stopping my breath to a degree that scared me. And no, for those who wonder about me, It wasn't because of what I was seeing on the screen it was very weird and unexplainable. I almost felt like I was being cooked inside a microwave oven for 1 minute and then everything went to normal. Paranoid as I am, I thought to myself, what if the IMAX is actually today's gas chamber where instead of gas they just give you a small dose of radiation so you can develop cancer and die in 1 or 2 years and work the population control like in those conspiracy theories. With the success of movies like Avatar they can guarantee they will be irradiating everybody which is interested in SF and kill all smart people which like SF stuff and can think for themselves. As for the stupid people that don't like SF, they don't need to kill them because they ca control them with ease. Please if anybody else feels in the future what I described here or he already felt this, post about it here, it might make an interesting side topic about the IMAX and my conspiracy theory. |
